Soraya Pascoe’s main area of practice is in Family Law and cases involving international law, including cross-jurisdiction disputes. She is a legal expert to the UN and the OSCE and also receives instructions both as a Single and Single Joint Expert in the English courts. She has trained academics and professionals in Russia and as an international human rights expert, she has trained the judiciary in Croatia and, Serbia and Montenegro. She is on the approved lawyers list for the Falkland Islands.
In Family Law, Soraya accepts instructions in all matters from Children Act proceedings both public and private to Ancillary Relief, including matters of trust law and international freezing orders. She has contributed to a self help guide to injunctions under the Family Law Act. She also acts for parties in contested divorces and disputes over jurisdiction.
Soraya is also experienced in Immigration Law, Housing, Employment and Mental Health Law. Her International Law expertise has often informed her civil work and she accepts instructions in the area of civil law generally. She is also able to accept instructions in the Criminal Jurisdiction.
Soraya is Direct Access Qualified.
