Prior to joining the Bar, Philip was a senior partner in a firm of independent Estate Agents with offices based in North Wales. Philip gained experience in all property matters including Landlord and Tenant, Mortgages, finance, company law, contract and planning.
When first called to the Bar Philip lectured part time to accountancy students in contract and company law. In his first 2 years of practice he undertook agency prosecution work for the crown. This gave him an excellent experience and grounding in criminal law. Subsequently Philip developed a criminal defence practice and in particular specializing in defending motorists in all aspects of motoring, including speeding, insurance, totting, drink driving, careless driving, dangerous driving, and death by careless driving.
Philip includes amongst his clients premier league footballers and other high profile sportsmen and women thus gaining a high reputation in this field.
In addition to his criminal and motoring practice Philip has developed expertise in Personal Injury(including advising on liability and quantum), Immigration (bail applications and all levels of appeal in asylum and immigration), Landlord and Tenant, insolvency and general civil matters.

Philip is a member of Lions International, committed to charitable works.
For Leisure Philip enjoys walking the mountains and Valleys of North Wales, cycling and keeping fit.
